How to appeal a Euro Car Parks charge
Read the Euro Car Parks notice and match its reference, registration, location and reason to your records. A private Parking Charge Notice is not a council penalty, even though both may be called a PCN. If you dispute it, the first step is the operator's appeal process, not a payment to a letter-writing service or an immediate POPLA appeal.
This is an independent guide, not an official Euro Car Parks website. You can appeal directly for free using the official link above. Parking Appeal Pro offers an optional £4.99 initial appeal-letter draft; it is not affiliated with Euro Car Parks, does not pay the charge and does not submit or manage your appeal.
Use the appeals form, not the general enquiry form
Euro Car Parks' published FAQ says an appeal can be submitted in writing or through its online appeals form. Its general enquiry page expressly says that it does not accept appeals. Follow the appeal instructions on your notice and the dedicated official route, and keep a screenshot or receipt confirming submission.
The FAQ asks for the reference, registration, contact details and supporting evidence. Be accurate about your capacity as driver or keeper and read the form's declarations; do not invent driver details. The FAQ asks motorists to allow up to 28 days for processing. That processing period is not an extra 28 days in which to lodge an appeal: use the submission deadline on your notice.
Paid for parking, but still received a charge?
Compare the notice with the parking ticket or app receipt. Check the exact registration, car park or zone, payment start time, duration and any registration validation needed inside the premises. A payment for the wrong location or a mistyped registration needs a clear explanation; it is not the same as proving that the operator's allegation is factually wrong.
If you did pay for the correct vehicle and period, identify the receipt or transaction reference and explain which part of the allegation it contradicts. If the app failed or the machine would not work, describe the steps you actually took, any alternative instructions displayed and the evidence available. A failed machine does not automatically make parking free in every car park.
Keep originals and submit copies. A redacted receipt may show the relevant transaction without exposing unrelated purchases or a full bank statement. Avoid adding card numbers, identity documents or unnecessary third-party information to an appeal.
Overstay, customer validation and signs
For an overstay, set out arrival, payment, parking and departure times as accurately as the evidence allows. Explain queuing or an exit obstruction only if it happened. Ask for review of camera records where you have evidence that two visits have been treated as one; do not use that allegation as a standard paragraph for every charge.
At a supermarket, hotel, restaurant or other customer site, a receipt may show you were a genuine customer. Check whether the signs also required a registration to be validated or a time limit to be met. Ask the business or landowner whether it can help, but continue to protect the operator appeal deadline. A customer-service request and a formal appeal are separate.
Photographs can help explain unclear entrance terms, conflicting signs or a validation instruction you could not see. Describe the specific problem, when the photographs were taken and how it relates to the notice. Do not assume a universal grace period or that the amount alone makes the charge unenforceable.
Discounts, a rejection and POPLA
Euro Car Parks' FAQ says a charge is put on hold during its appeals procedure. Read the notice and any response for what that means for your case; do not treat it as a promise that an early-payment discount lasts indefinitely. The operator specifically warns that taking an appeal to POPLA means losing the discounted amount.
If Euro Car Parks rejects your operator appeal, its FAQ says the response explains how to appeal to POPLA. Keep the rejection and verification code. POPLA is a separate, free service with its own evidence and eligibility rules; its general deadline is 28 days from the operator's rejection. Follow the current instructions, not a date guessed from when you first found this guide.
Keeper-liability arguments under POFA Schedule 4 require careful checking and are specific to England and Wales. POPLA has additional driver-related restrictions for Scotland and Northern Ireland. If a claim or court deadline is involved, seek suitable independent advice promptly rather than relying on an initial operator-letter template.

The example below is deliberately a structure for your own facts, not a list of supposed loopholes. It does not claim signs, cameras or the notice were defective unless you can explain and support that point. You are free to adapt it and submit directly without buying our service.
The optional Parking Appeal Pro form asks about the notice, your grounds and what happened. You can fill it in and view the partial preview free; £4.99 generates the full tailored AI draft with PDF and Word downloads. You review and send the letter yourself, and must still meet the operator's deadline. The fee is for writing assistance only, not the parking charge, legal advice or a guaranteed result.
